Alongside my other work for HYROX, I was allocated some merch designs for the city collections of HYROX worldwide events. Each city gets their own, unique design, and the idea is to bring in elements characteristic of that city into the designs. There are various merch pieces, and each one gets their own design.

Designing merch for a city collection is an exciting design challenge, because each city has many facets to it which one could highlight. In addition to that, the HYROX brand has a reputation in the fitness community, and that needs to be communicated as well. Each city collection comprises of hours of research and ideation before conceptualising designs, and there are multiple rounds that go into these collections to perfect the design for each clothing piece specifically. In the end, the pieces that go out into the world are as good as "hand-picked"—and the results speak for themselves.
